leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 mini specs

Samsung has yet to officially unveil the Galaxy S4 mini  but the leaks are getting more detailed so we have a pretty good picture of what to expect. The latest leak shows AnTuTu's info screens, which detail all the specs the benchmark managed to detect.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, has a  Super AMOLED screen with qHD resolution and 240ppi, which doesn’t match the rumored 4.3" screen diagonal, but it's not uncommon for an app to report the wrong pixel density (4.3" screen with qHD resolution should have 256ppi).

The phone runs Android 4.2.2 on a Snapdragon 400 chipset – dual-core Krait 200 Processor at 1.7GHz, 1.5GB RAM and Adreno 305, the same chipset found in the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. The available internal storage is listed as 5GB, so it should be 8GB in total.

AnTuTu also listed the two cameras – 8MP main camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.

This matches what we've heard about the Galaxy S4 mini so far. Note that there should be four versions of the S4 mini – this one, the I9195 with LTE support, a I9150 model with Exynos 5 chipset (dual-core Cortex-A15 @ 1.6GHz), a I9192 dual-SIM, and the I9198 for the Chinese market.

Here is a quick snap of the same as listed on GSMArena

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, will look a lot like Galaxy S4 Mini and will come equipped with:
  • 4.3” 540x960px Super AMOLED display
  • 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU, no LTE support
  • Android Jelly Bean OS

  • 16 megapixel main camera, with 10x Optical Zoom
  • Bluetooth 4.0LE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, A-GPS
  • 1900 mAh battery
Galaxy S4 Active is a water and dust resistant version of the main Samsung flagship, with following specs:
  • 5” Super AMOLED Full HD display
  • Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU
  • Adreno 320 GPU
  • 2GB of RAM
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS

Samsung launches biggest Galaxy phones in India Named Galaxy Mega

Samsung brought a new dimension to the phablets line up with its Mega 6.3 and 5.8 Android phablets. The pricing of the phablets that borrow some of the features from the Galaxy S4 flagship smartphone was not revealed during its announcement, but the pricing details of the phablets are no longer a mystery.
As their names suggest, the new Galaxy devices have a screen size of 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch. While the smaller of the two Galaxies has an MRP of Rs 25,100, the bigger one is priced at Rs 31,490. Samsung said that Galaxy Mega 5.8 will be available in the market within a week while Galaxy Mega 6.3 will reach shops in the middle of June, as stated

In terms of hardware specifications, Galaxy Megas are clearly mid-range devices by Samsung's standards. Mega 5.8 is powered by a dual-core processor running at 1.4GHz and has 1.5GB RAM. The internal storage is limited to 8GB  but there is a microSD card slot through which users can add up to 64GB storage.

The device has a screen with a resolution of 540x960pixel, which is below average considering many smartphones with 5-inch screen nowadays use a 720x1280 pixel resolution. The primary camera can shoot images in up to 8MP while the front camera can shoot upto to 1.9MP. The battery capacity is 2600 mAh.

Galaxy Mega 5.8  runs the latest version of Android - Jelly Bean 4.2  that has been modified by Samsung using its Touchwiz user interface.

Mega 6.3 is powered by a dual-core processor running at 1.7GHz. It has a screen with 720p resolution and 16GB internal storage. It has 1.5GB RAM, 8MP primary camera and 1.9MP front camera. The device uses Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It weighs 199gram, making it one if the heaviest Android smartphone ever. The battery capacity is rated at 3200mAh.

"Consumers in India are preferring the larger screen displays in their smartphones owing to the time they spend doing more with their devices," said Vineet Taneja, head of Samsung's mobile division in India. "Galaxy Mega meet the varying lifestyles of our consumers."

First impression:-

Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 are big devices. But what is likely to strike a user about them is that they are still quite compact and accessible. Galaxy Mega 5.8 is especially compact when compared to most of the large screen devices from local vendors like Spice and Micromax.

In terms of size, Samsung claims that both devices are pocketable. But after checking them out we are no so sure. Both devices are too big to be carried in jeans pockets. Mega 6.3 is especially big, though it should appeal to people who have to carry a 7-inch tablet and find it too big.

The design of both devices follow the pattern set by Galaxy S4. This means, both devices are a bit squarer than Galaxy Grand or Galaxy Note II. As it is usual for a Samsung smartphone, the devices are constructed using the glossy plastic. The back covers, which have a fine-diamond pattern first seen on Galaxy S4, can be removed. However, despite plastic, the devices have been built very well and finishing appears top notch.

Mega 5.8 uses a TFT screen. It shows good and punchy colours, however, the resolution looks a tad low, especially compared to smartphones with 720P screens.

Galaxy Mega 6.8 uses a super LCD screen. In terms of showing colours, the screen is good but the text and images don't look as sharp as they do on a device like Galaxy Note II.

Both Galaxy run Android 4.2 customized with Touchwiz interface. While using the device we found the devices to have smooth and lag-free navigations. However, pinch and zoom on heavy web pages or multitasking tend to feel a little slower compared to the performance on devices like Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note II.

Nokia Lumia 925 to arrive in India, 920 now retails for Rs 32,000 as listed on Flipkart!

Nokia seems all set to launch the much-anticipated Lumia 925 in India as the company has put it up on its online website and has also reduced the 920 version’s price. The latter was introduced in the country with a retail tag of around Rs 38,200, earlier this year.

It looks like the reason behind the reduction in the 920 device’s price is due to the impending arrival of the Nokia Lumia 925. Although the Finnish manufacturer has not revealed anything about the launch details of its recent flagship smartphone, we are pretty sure that it will be up for grabs in the subcontinent in no time.

Compatible with micro SIM cards, the smartphone in question drags along an 8.7MP PureView camera as well as a 1.2MP front-mounted webcam.
